Hispanic Graphic Design Awards™

For 50 years, Graphic Design USA has sponsored competitions that spotlight areas of growth and opportunity for creative professionals. This year, the editors add the Hispanic Design Awards, recognizing the growing influence and important contribution of the Hispanic community to commerce and culture in the United States ‒ and the outstanding graphic design and advertising being developed to reach the Hispanic market. The competition is open to everyone in the creative community ‒ graphic design studios, advertising agencies, corporate inhouse departments, media and publishing companies, non-profits and associations. Winners will receive an embossed Certificate of Excellence, will appear on the very popular GDUSA website for a full year, and will be published in Graphic Design USA's printed magazine and iPad app.
PREMIOS DE DISEÑO GRÁFICO HISPANO
Durante 50 años Graphic Design USA ha patrocinado concursos que destacan áreas de crecimiento y oportunidad para los profesionales creativos. Este año los editores añaden los Premios de Diseño Hispano que reconocen la creciente influencia y la contribución importante de la comunidad hispana al comercio y a la cultura de los Estados Unidos...incluso el diseño gráfico excepcional y la publicidad que se está desarrollando para llegar a la comunidad hispana en los Estados Unidos. El concurso está abierto a todos en la comunidad creativa...estudios de diseño gráfico, agencias de publicidad, departamentos corporativos, empresas de medios y casas editoriales, organizaciones sin fines de lucro y asociaciones. Los ganadores recibirán un Certificado de Excelencia en relieve, aparecerán en el sitio web del muy popular GDUSA durante un año completo y se publicarán en la revista impresa de GDUSA y su I-Pad app.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Entries may be submitted by any company or individual involved in the creation or production of the work.
WHAT IS ELIGIBLE?
Entries must have been created between July 1, 2012 and July 31, 2013.
HOW TO ENTER
OPTION 1 ENTER ONLINE
Go to www.gdusa.com/hgda to download an entry form. Fill out one entry form for each entry your are submitting. Create a folder which includes all completed entry forms and one digital image per entry. Please zip the file and name it with your company name. Upload the zipped file on our site.
OPTION 2 MAIL IN YOUR ENTRY
Please send the actual printed piece, unmounted but well protected. We cannot return entry materials.Do not send original artwork or any work in low supply.
ENTRY FORM PREPARATION
Fill in two entry forms for each of your submissions. Attach one copy of the entry form to the back of the actual piece and include the other copy with your payment. If you are submitting the same piece in more than one category, please include a separate entry form for each category. Please fill out each entry form as clearly as possible.
DIGITAL FILE PREPARATION
All entries should be accompanied by a high resolution digital file.Please provide ONE image to represent each submission. It is not necessary to provide digital files of entire publications. A cover and a spread are sufficient. Multiple entries from one company can all be submitted on the same CD.
ACCEPTABLE DIGITAL FILE FORMATS:
300 dpi Photoshop TIFFor JPEG, Approximately 5" wide x 5" high
Adobe Illustrator file with outlines created around the type
High Resolution PDF
WE DO NOT ACCEPT QUARK OR INDESIGN FILES. PLEASE CONVERT THESE FILE TYPES TO PHOTOSHOP JPEGS OR TIFFS.
For entries in the categories of Broadcast + Multimedia Design and Internet Design, please supply a digital screen capture (10 maximum) and a high-quality laser printout of the entry. For entries in the category of Logos, Trademarks + Symbols, please supply a high-resolution digital file of the entry on a CD and a high quality laser printout. Oversized entries, larger than 11" x 14" or three-dimensional entries, should be submitted as a high resolution digital file on a CD accompanied by a high quality laser printout.

Multiple entries considered to be part of a series or campaign may be submitted as one entry. You may include up to 5 pieces in a series. Please place the entire series in a single envelope and attach the entry form to the envelope.
RIGHTS + PERMISSIONS
Winning entrants grant Graphic Design USA the right to reproduce the winning pieces in the GDUSA Awards Annual. Select winning entries may also appear on gdusa.com and in any and all materials and media produced for promotional purposes.
