This edition of Shelf Life includes Bill Gardner’s annual LogoLounge Trend report, always insightful and thought-provoking. One tasty tidbit: Bill detects a backlash to the increasingly flat, simple, sterile, sans serif logos which sacrifice personality for clarity on small screens. Instead, he sees a comeback for expressive symbols, embellished designs, big serifs, nostalgic flourishes, gradient colors. Interesting observation.
