Creative professionals
with in-demand skills and experience have job opportunities in the

annual
Salary Guide,
including hiring trends and compensation information for nearly 90
creative and marketing positions. Here are five creative roles to watch
in 2021, as well as their predicted national midpoint salary:
- Creative director ($117,000): To ensure the
quality of all creative department projects, these professionals
manage the creative process from beginning to end. They lead and
direct staff in the production of all advertising
and marketing collateral.
- User experience designer ($98,250): Drawing
on creative, technical and problem-solving skills, these in-demand
designers assess users’ needs and determine the architecture
and wireframes that help users navigate a product or website.
- Interactive art director ($92,500): These
professionals must be experts in both design and execution to deliver
digital solutions for a company’s business or brand, as well
as have a keen understanding of concept development, copywriting
and storyboarding.
- Front-end web developer ($88,000): A key player
in digital marketing, front-end web developers help bring UX and web
design ideas to life. They must understand the entire web development
process, from design to development and deployment.
- Mobile designer ($86,500): To create compelling
interactive experiences on mobile devices, these creative pros must
know both graphical and functional aspects of web and mobile design
and work across platforms, like HTML5, iOS and Android.
