Founded humbly in Los Angeles by Jay Chiat and Guy Day in the late 1960s, the agency has grown to $1.2 billion in billings. It is a consistent creative innovator, with enduring campaigns for Apple, Nike, Absolut and others. Now part of the TBWA network, the agency has frequently been voted Agency of the Year and Agency of the Century and has won every imaginable creative award. Current TBWA chairman and chief creative officer Lee Clow joined Chiat/Day in 1967.
