Grace Lee grew up in Howard County MD where the blue crabs and football players roam.
She never knew there was such thing as a graphic designer but always wondered who got to
make J.Crew catalogs. Lee says she came to New York in pursuit of happiness and an education;
slaved through four years at Parsons The New School for Design and at the time of writing,
looked forward to entering the working world of design. "I had to leave the athlete in me behind
in Maryland," says Lee, because no one at my school plays field hockey or lacrosse."
She adds that she loves to travel and would work overseas in a heartbeat if given the opportunity.
What made you want to study design? I love things that visually stimulate people so why not be the person who creates them? By studying
to be a designer, I develop a skill set that has the capacity to create fantastic things and change the world. Information design in particular
has possibilities of making data more accessible, manageable and tangible. I love the endless possibilities that all mediums of design
