While growing up in Rochester NY, Jeremy Alan Pinsonneault always wanted to help create the beauty he saw in the world — and now he does. In 2010, he was awarded the title Outstanding Student of Communications Design at PrattMWP. A highly motivated, young creative — Pinsonneault’s dedication to his craft recently earned him several GDUSA American Graphic Design Awards for work he did at the sophomore level. Currently a junior, pursuing his BFA in Communications Design, Pinsonneault is a founding member and officer in Alumn Core — a circle of designers and artists that once attended Pratt's Utica Campus, and intend to see it grow. He is also the resident graphic designer at Center for Sustainable Design Studies at Pratt and hopes to land a package design internship this spring or summer.
What made you decide to go to design school?
From a young age I was interested in the way things worked and how to make them better. It’s my passion to make design that is both useful and visually striking. School gives me the chance to immerse myself in doing what I love and challenges me to reach my potential.
Has it been a positive experience?
It has been one of a kind. Surrounded by other creative individuals allows for an atmosphere conducive to developing not only as an artist but also as an individual. The things that I have learned since and the experiences that I have taken from it will help me to be successful in life.
