35 Years in the Making

A new book, Dialog: What Makes A Great Design Partnership, commemorates the 35th anniversary of the design partnership between Leslie Smolan and Ken Carbone. Coffee-table sized, the project documents Carbone Smolan Agency’s portfolio, which includes visual identities for the likes of the Louvre, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, and the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. In addition to beautiful imagery, the book also features commentary from some top designers about the partnership and creative vision, including Massimo Vignelli and Steven Heller. The book hits stores later this month.
