Dara Weinberg grew up in New Jersey and moved to Los Angeles after receiving a BFA in Costume Design from Emerson College. She spent 5 years there, working as a wardrobe stylist for film, commercials, music video and editorial print, before moving to San Francisco to pursue an MFA degree from the School of Graphic Design at Academy of Art University in 2009. She graduated in December 2012 with a Department MFA Award for Design Excellence. Her Master’s Thesis project, Dress Code, is an online resource to help pave the way for a widespread movement of conscious fashion consumerism. Dara relocated back to LA after graduation to work as a designer at Ludlow Kingsley. When she isn't glued to a monitor, she takes an inordinate amount of photos and likes uncovering unexpected new reasons to love her two cities.
