CREATIVE DIRECTOR, DIMENSIONAL FUND ADVISORS
THOUGHTS ON THE
STATE OF GRAPHIC DESIGN
In the next few years, I see more companies building their own inhouse teams. The cost savings and brand expertise are undeniable. Becoming fully invested in a company’s growth and success offers a rewarding dynamic you only get as an insider. Agencies will have some competition wooing design candidates. Jeans-wearing aside, there is great opportunity inhouse. I am also excited about blurring the lines between editorial and design; between design and interactive; and between strategy and project management. Breaking down silos to spur collaboration across creative teams leads to great work.
