Trivago’s Wabi Symbolizes Fluidity and Imperfection

Fresh, News April 23, 2018 Ilana Greenberg

Global hotel search engine Trivago has rebranded with a new logo that seeks to create a distinct relationship between the organization and its services, and encapsulates the spirit of Trivago in one symbol.

Created by the inhouse design team, the new logo references Trivago’s original orange and blue logo, replacing the multi-colored type with a more refined single color, and transferring the three colors to a symbol described as a “Wabi” – an imperfect ring – which the company considers to be the digital embodiment of their culture. State company officials: “Wabi seeks to capture our spirit as a company, fluid and ever-evolving, yet simple, authentic, and imperfect.”
