Heineken has added another city to its “Cities” campaign, in which it labels its bottles with the names of cities where it markets its beer and where it is making a contribution to the cityscape. A panoply of lights on San Francisco’s Bay Bridge, that have been dark, are now lit as the result of a partnership with ILLUMINATE, a non-profit that creates urban art works.
“This is about making great cities even greater,” says Raul Esquer, brand manager, Heineken USA. “It’s a way for us to give back to these communities. We’re trying to raise awarness about what’s going on in these ciites by taking action to enhance the cityscape.” The installation, by artist Leo Villareal, features thousands of ever-shifting LED lights.
