Packaging and branding design firm Voicebox unveiled a playful design for Yooga Superfood Cups, a coconut-based probiotic product that hopes to disrupt the plant-based yogurt category. As a category creator, Yooga’s look needed to have stopping power while quickly educating consumers on its benefits. This was achieved, says the agency, by simple but strategic communication hierarchies, color blocking and creativity in communicating at every opportunity.
The word “Yooga” is written in modern, clean font that literally gives shoppers a welcoming smile. Striking colors differentiate the five flavors and Voicebox utilized the lids as statement pieces that emphasize product benefits called out in bold, capital letters and complementary colors. “To introduce a product is one thing,” comments Jacques Rossouw, Creative Director at Voicebox. “But introducing one that is disrupting a current category while creating an entirely new one is another … our design team worked tirelessly to create a design that captured its essence and gave a friendly, bold, yet inviting face to the first superfood probiotic coconut yogurt cup to market.”
