GDUSA’s American Inhouse Design Awards™ is the premier showcase for outstanding work by inhouse graphic designers and related creative professionals. It is a unique opportunity for inhouse designers at corporations, non-profits, institutions, universities, government, associations, media companies and other organizations with an inhouse designer or team to be recognized by managers, colleagues and the community for their creativity, for the special challenges they face, and for the full value they bring to the table. This is our 56th anniversary of organizing competitions for and with the creative community.

How To Enter

There are two ways to enter, choose only one method of entry. Entries may be submitted by any inhouse design department, team or individual actively involved in the creation or production or planning or placement of the work. Entries must have been created between January 1, 2018 and May 31, 2019.

OPTION 1 | ENTER ONLINE

DOWNLOAD THE INHOUSE DESIGN AWARDS ENTRY FORM

Fill out one entry form for each entry you are submitting. Create a folder with all completed entry forms and up to 3 digital images per entry. Please zip the file and name it with your company name. Upload the zipped file, the upload link can be found at the bottom of this page. It is not necessary to mail in  hard copy if you enter online.

For entries in the categories of Online Design or Motion Graphics, please supply screen captures (up to 4) in addition to a URL or .mov file.

For payment purposes, there are 3 options: You can (1) pay ONLINE via Credit Card or Paypal, the payment link can be found below at the bottom of this page OR (2) enter your Credit Card or other payment information on ONE of the entry forms only and no digital signature is needed OR (3) send a check via traditional mail or delivery service.

OPTION 2 | MAIL IN YOUR ENTRY

If you are entering online, ignore this step. If you choose not to enter online, you can send the actual printed piece by mail or delivery service. Fill in two entry forms for each submission you are mailing in. Attach one copy of the entry form to the actual piece itself and include the other copy with your payment information or check. We cannot return entry materials so do not send original artwork.  Additionally, please provide one or two high-res digital files for each entry submitted on a flash drive, CD, DVD. Multiple entries from one company can all be submitted on the same flash drive, CD or DVD.

ACCEPTABLE FILE FORMATS

300 dpi Adobe Photoshop .tiff or .jpeg files are acceptable. Images should be at least 5 x 5 inches and CMYK. Adobe Illustrator files are acceptable with outlines created around the type. We do not accept Quark or InDesign files. Please convert these file types to Photoshop jpegs or tiffs.

Multiple pieces, up to 5, considered to be part of a series or campaign or program may be submitted as one entry.


RIGHTS & PERMISSIONS

Winning entrants grant Graphic Design USA the right to reproduce the winning pieces in the GDUSA Inhouse Awards Annual. Select winning entries may also appear on gdusa.com and in any and all materials and media produced for promotional purposes.
