I am Angad Singh and I am a graphic designer and meme expert originally from Bombay, India, and currently based in Pasadena CA. I currently hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Mumbai University and my previous work experiences include internships at Ogilvy & Mather and Fitch in Bombay, and a year as a junior designer at Fitch before joining Art Center College of Design in Fall 2017. My interests lie in typography and its multiple translations in print and motion. Other than spending ridiculous amounts of time going down YouTube rabbit holes, I enjoy listening to and discovering new music in no particular genre, watching anything to do with comedians and playing video games until the sun comes up.

Favorite podcast?
I don’t really listen to any podcasts but if I did, I’d probably listen to some about conspiracy theories and aliens.
Favorite book?
I have to pick just one book, I’d pick Draplin Design Co.: Pretty Much Everything by Aaron Draplin as it was my first exposure to a comprehensive body of graphic design work and gave me plenty of inspiration to create my own work.
Favorite movie?
The Dark Knight. Still looking for a better final scene in a film.
Favorite fine artist?
My current favorite has to be Andrew William Ralph. I love his animation style and his use of vibrant colors.
Favorite cause/charity?
Female Education in India
Favorite free time activity?
Call of Duty with the boys!
Favorite designer/art director working today?
One of my classmates, Hampton Dunlap, has some of the most inspiring and creative work that I know.
Area of specialization?
I am interested in typography and how it can be translated across physical, print-based formats and digital platforms like motion and web design to create a comprehensive narrative.
If you were not a designer…?
I would probably be a content creator in some capacity. Whether that would be content for television or the internet, I’m not sure.
The best thing about design school/your school?
I am most grateful for the many different cultures I’ve come in contact with while at school and the absolutely amazing friends I have made so far.
