Canon USA Announces the Application Availability of DesignMerge Variable Data Software

World Graphic Design Day took place on April 27 this year; it’s is an annual celebration of graphic designers and their influence in the daily lives of people across the globe. By utilizing the power of print and working with graphic designers, businesses have become more effective in marketing and sales efforts when engaging with target audiences. As seen in the recent Canon Print for Action survey, 76% of Americans say the quality and graphics of the print is what captures their attention.

With this in mind, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, has announced the application availability of Meadows Publishing Solutions DesignMerge variable data software, which is designed to help customers expand their design and printing capabilities. The addition of DesignMerge to Canon’s production workflow solutions provides Canon the ability to offer an expanded range of variable data printing (VDP) solutions to help designers, marketers and print providers create and execute more personalized, targeted print communications.

Helping to improve the effectiveness of direct marketing campaigns, DesignMerge offers customers the ability to personalize every aspect of a document virtually, including graphics, articles and bar coding, just to name a few. This variable data printing and data publishing software package works alongside Canon’s PRISMAprepare, and directly within the Adobe® InDesign® application.

“The increase of personalization through variable data printing is a growing requirement within the commercial and production print market, and DesignMerge helps customers meet these market needs due to its ability to help drive print volumes,” said Barb Pellow, manager, Pellow and Partners. “Canon continuously showcases its commitment to its customers by offering them tools such as this to help them expand their printing capabilities and creativity.”
