CBA Helps Universal Audio Turn Up The Volume

To help high-end Universal Audio resonate with consumers in big box stores, CBA created used ultra-realistic photography to communicate a brand message that words could not.

Universal Audio has long been a leader in the category of professional recording equipment but not so much with consumers. Accordingly, the company created a range of products that could offer its sound to larger audience which, in turn, meant that the brand would sit in big box stores with consumers who were likely unaware of the brand’s legacy.

To tackle this challenge, CBA set out to create a design language that could pay homage to the history of the brand and showcase the full range of equipment capabilities. By focusing on the products themselves, and presenting them as realistic photographs against a crisp, metallic gray background, CBA conveys an understated message of sound superiority. On the back, parts are labeled for information and authenticity.
