Inspired by Scotland qualifying for their first major soccer tournament in over 20 years and the excitement around the Euro 2020 Championship, high-profile Scottish artist Craig Black has created ‘The Fusion Series – Footballs’ – a Football Art Installation of unique and collectible pieces. Known for his acrylic fusion paint-pour technique and bold typography, Black created an artistic representation of the brand colors of various countries’ soccer uniforms.
The paint-pouring technique is used over 9 soccer balls, each representing a country competing in the Euro 2020 tournament. The balls have been captured in still images as well as video in order to showcase the mesmerizing process used to create each unique installation. Black commented, “I have absolutely loved creating these football art installations as I was able to combine my two passions of football and art.”
