5 Positive Trends for Creatives on the Job Hunt

Take Five Take Five

Looking for a new job? You’re in luck — hiring is hot in the creative and marketing fields, according to The Demand for Skilled Talent Report from talent solutions firm Robert Half. Employers are expanding their teams, with creative and marketing roles high on their list. Here are five insights from the report job seekers should know:

  1. “Now hiring” signs are on display. The research found 54% of creative and marketing managers are adding new positions in the second half of 2021; another 46% said they are hiring for vacated roles or bringing back furloughed employees.
  2. Companies are looking for creativity. Some of the most in-demand positions include UX and UI designers, graphic designers, and copywriters, among others.
  3. Freelance professionals needed. Seventy-five percent of creative and marketing managers said they will hire contract workers to support year-end initiatives.
  4. Open for remote work? So are many employers. When recruiting, 60% of creative and marketing managers said their company starts local and broadens its search if they have difficulty finding skilled candidates.
  5. Job offers are getting sweeter. Forty-eight percent said their company is negotiating title upgrades for new and existing employees to attract and retain in-demand talent.
