5 Hot Creative Jobs and their Salaries for 2022

TakeFive by RobertHalfHow much could you earn next year? Demand for creative talent today is driving up salaries across the country. The 2022 Salary Guide from Robert Half contains hiring trends and compensation information for nearly 90 creative and marketing positions. Here are five creative roles to watch next year, as well as their predicted national midpoint salary:

  1. Creative director ($120,250): To ensure the quality of all creative department projects, these professionals manage the creative process from beginning to end. They lead and direct staff in the production of all advertising and marketing collateral.
  2. User experience designer ($102,000): Drawing on creative, technical and problem-solving skills, these in-demand designers assess users’ needs and determine the architecture and wireframes that help users navigate a product or website.
  3. Front-end web developer ($93,250): A key player in digital marketing, front-end web developers help bring UX and web design ideas to life. They must understand the entire web development process, from design to development and deployment.
  4. Packaging designer ($60,000): These creatives lead the process to design packaging for consumer products and other items. They must be able to create and refine inventive prototypes based on feedback from clients, engineers and consumer safety groups.
  5. Production artist ($55,000): Helping bring creative concepts to life, production artists collaborate closely with art directors, designers and developers to produce graphic collateral, packaging, display and advertising projects.
