5 Questions for Creative Managers to Consider to Attract and Retain Talent in 2022

TakeFive by RobertHalfToday’s competitive employment market is causing managers to pause and consider what creative and marketing professionals are looking for in a job, both to recruit new talent and entice top performers to stay. Based on research from the 2022 Salary Guide from Robert Half, here are five questions managers should consider when hiring and managing creative talent next year:

  1. 54% of creative and marketing managers are adding to their teams. There’s intense competition for creative talent right now, especially within digital design and marketing. How are you demonstrating to job seekers that your company is a great place to work?
  2. 49% of employees surveyed feel they’re underpaid. Are you offering competitive salaries? Benchmark your teams’ compensation against local salary figures from industry resources, like this salary calculator.
  3. 66% of companies will offer flexible scheduling after pandemic restrictions are universally lifted. Research shows that employees want continued control over when and where they work. Would flexible scheduling options work for your team?
  4. 46% of marketing and creative employees said they feel more burned out now than they did a year ago. Are your employees overworked and overwhelmed? Consider hiring contract workers to help relieve your team’s heavy workloads and stress.
  5. 47% of marketing and creative leaders reported their companies are offering workers more paid time off. Is it time to take a closer look at your company’s benefits and perks? Learn what other firms are offering — and what workers want most —in the 2022 Salary Guide.
