New Developments Tomorrow
In preview of announcements at Luxe Pack in New York City, Mohawk and Fedrigoni will unveil several new paper collections and developments.
Mohawk will unveil a new collection of Folding Boards, designed to elevate packaging and creative communications. The Collection is comprised from Superfine, Renewal, Mosaic, and Loop- offering a versatile range of beautiful, sustainable and foldable boards. Mohawk’s Folding Board Collection is crafted to meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
Each paper in the collection is FSC certified, ensuring responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship. The collection includes alternative fibers, post-consumer fibers, and a variety of colors and textures, catering to diverse creative needs. Available in both offset and digital sizes, these papers are designed to deliver exceptional performance and aesthetic appeal.
Visitors will also discover “Renewal” by Mohawk, featuring the innovative addition of Miscanthus fiber. This milestone underscores Mohawk’s dedication to environmental sustainability and cutting-edge paper making, in collaboration with Genera Inc. Miscanthus, a resilient biomass crop, combines beauty and strength for fiber pulp.
Originally introduced to the U.S. as an ornamental plant, Miscanthus is drought and pest-resistant, yielding 7-10 dry tons per acre annually, even in marginal soil. Genera collaborates with landowners to cultivate Miscanthus, providing reliable, low-maintenance income opportunities while promoting regenerative agricultural practices.
Last but not least, Fedrigoni Special Papers will showcase a new collection of papers made in Italy, curated specifically for North America. The new collection features over 80 items and aims to set a new standard for brand owners, designers, converters, and printers for inspired creative communications and luxury packaging designs. As a key component of the comprehensive Fedrigoni Range, the North American Collection will showcase a carefully curated selection of colors, textures, and fiber compositions. This offering aligns with current market trends, providing a sensory-rich experience that captivates designers and end-users alike.
