High Tide Adds Travis Barteaux To Leadership Team

Creative Director Travis Barteaux is joining High Tide. He's spent more than a decade leading creative teams in both the brand and agency worlds and brings an extensive network and holistic approach to design that will enable the studio to strengthen its approach.

High Tide has hired Creative Director Travis Barteaux, a seasoned design leader whose brand-side experience, extensive network and holistic approach to design will enable the studio to strengthen its approach to content creation and photography, build deeper strategic engagements, and increase its focus on product and web work.

Originally an early member of the High Tide team, Barteaux has held key roles at a variety of leading agencies and brands. He started at VSA Partners, where he collaborated with Cole Haan, Converse, and Kiehl’s, and led a rebrand for Schoolhouse. He then moved to Nike, where he developed marketing campaigns, collaborated on athlete and product photo shoots, and worked on large-scale events and retail initiatives.

As Creative Director at Kickstarter, Barteaux helped establish the brand design team and oversaw key product milestones. His portfolio spans a diverse range of clients, from lifestyle to tech, including Apple, Google, Saturdays NYC, and the James Beard Foundation.

Now returning to High Tide, Barteaux will help lead its client projects, managing the design team with an emphasis on fostering collaboration and creative rigor. He will also be instrumental in expanding the team and offering, tapping into his experience and network to help transform the studio into an even more powerful partner for current and future brand clients.

High Tide’s Founder and Creative Director, Danny Miller explains, “Travis and I share very similar sensibilities when it comes to standards and interacting with people – he’s direct but not authoritative and he meets people where they are at. Also, he’s willing to do what it takes in working with clients, fully in service of creating the best possible outcome. Those qualities have already made an enormous impact on our work and culture and we’re excited to what the future holds.”
