DOC Drives Medicine Into Future With Boost From Level Group

Level Group collaborated with DOC founders to shape a cross-media brand system that helps advance the organization's belief that meaningful progress in health and medicine depends on building trust and harnessing collective insight.

Logomark Embodies Longevity and Connection

DOC is a community of scientists, investors, and business leaders dedicated to advancing the future of medicine in general and longevity in particular. They came to Level Group with the challenge of creating a comprehensive brand identity system and cross-media design strategy that could translate their core values into experience — applying clarity, credibility, exclusivity, and human-centered care across digital platforms, healthcare events, print collateral, and spatial environments.

Level began by developing a bold, typographic logomark — one that embodies both longevity and connection. The strength and clarity of the letterforms is intended to evoke  seriousness and validity, while the spiraled twist of the forms is a nod to science and scientists, capturing DOC’s belief that meaningful progress depends on building trust and harnessing collective insight. From there, the designers created a flexible visual identity system designed to scale across channels — from digital platforms to spatial environments and printed materials — to ensure that the brand voice is consistent wherever it is expressed.

Two of DOC’s most distinctive touchpoints — the Living Room Lab and The DOCUMENT — extend the gathering’s mission beyond traditional event formats. Both function as “brands within the brand,” each with its own role in fostering dialogue and connection.

The Living Room Lab is an interactive testing suite, whose wordmark and layout system were designed to adapt seamlessly across event signage, in-room displays, and digital content, reinforcing the lab’s position as both an immersive experience  and a trusted destination for evidence-based health discovery. The DOCUMENT, a monthly newsletter, is designed as a branded editorial extension. The template and custom modules are fully modular, expandable, intuitive to use, and consistent with DOC’s brand and ecosystem.

To bring DOC’s vision to life online, Level designed and developed two distinct digital properties. First, they built a registration platform designed for DOC’s annual, invitation-only gathering. While maintaining consistency with the overall visual language, the event websites shift in tone and structure over time, prioritizing event marketing and utility for those interested in or attending DOC. Since the sites are made to adapt over time, dynamic content changes based on visitors’ registration status and proximity to the event.

Alongside the event platform, Level developed doc.health, a media forward website that establishes DOC’s mission, partners, and evolving initiatives. Built to grow with DOC, the site is designed to facilitate expansion and supports editorial content, cross-disciplinary collaborations, and storytelling across channels.

Following the launch of the digital platforms, Level turned their attention to bringing the DOC branding into the physical environment for its inaugural gathering. They designed presentation templates, a scenic backdrop for the mainstage, a badge system with printed agendas, and digital and print signage and wayfinding — ensuring the identity was as present and cohesive in person as it is online.
