To celebrate the launch of Magic Spoon’s new limited edition Hot Chocolate cereal the company invited fans to dream up a design concept that evokes a cozy and playful spirit. This was the first time they opened the design up to the public.
.
The winning design was created by Jaden, a Salt Lake City native, high school teacher and Tae Kwon Do instructor who starts every day with a bowl of Magic Spoon cereal (Cocoa). It features an ice climber and her Japanese macaque companion, scaling a frozen cliff face together. The climber is full of confidence and adventure, while her macaque friend – perched on her back and triumphantly raising a spoon in the air – adds a playful and whimsical twist. The subtle suggestion of icy terrain hints at the chill of their climb, perfectly balanced by the warmth and indulgence of a post-adventure cup of hot chocolate.

The brand was drawn to this design because it “mirrors what Magic Spoon is all about: a high-protein cereal that fuels your day and powers your next great adventure.” Magic Spoon releases a new LTO every 2-3 months, often inspired by the season (most recent was a sweet + spiced duo: Pumpkin Spice and Salted Caramel). These often sell out quickly – and they give subscribers early access to these launches.
