Paper Trails: Make The Journey Colorful With Cougar

In Paper Trails: Make the Journey Colorful, the Domtar ventures into the world of paper shade and brightness, and how to bring print pieces to higher elevations. This is the third in the educational Paper Trails series.

Volume 3 of Cougar Paper Trails

For over 50 years, Cougar® has been known for its ability to enhance the experience of the printed page. In our latest piece, Paper Trails: Make the Journey Colorful, we venture into the world of paper shade and brightness, and how they can bring projects to higher elevations.

Cougar Paper Trails, a Paper 101 series, provides an inspiring narrative that is both educational and inspirational. Past volumes include Finding the Perfect Line (exploring basis weight and opacity) and Get the Feeling Right (plunging into paper finishes and the role they play.) In this newest edition, we provide a comprehensive guide for the journey to a better understanding of shade and brightness.

We first explore the importance of paper brightness, and how it can affect the vividness of color and details in photos. We then climb the summit of paper shade and explain how the white and natural shades in the Cougar product offering can set different moods. Along the journey, we showcase color and black-and-white photography on Cougar White and Cougar Natural, providing further evidence of how paper shade and brightness can impact a printed piece. We hope the newest volume allows your creativity to blaze new trails.
