McDonald’s and DDB Serve Up Progressive New Website

DDB and McDonald's collaborate on a fresh looking and feeling website update for the franchise giant, with a focus on the mobile majority.

Following redesigns of its restaurants, packaging and menu, McDonald’s has redesigned its website. Among the highlights: a clean fresh look, location-based menus that feature local options and offers, a greater emphasis on its food philosophy and nutritional information, and easier navigation for users especially mobile ones who make up two-thirds of all site visitors.

The update includes new video elements on select menu pages and more highlighting of the recently introduced McDonald’s app.

DDB is credited with the redesign, along with McDonald’s own digital team. Caroline Masullo is McDonald’s Senior Director of U.S. Digital Engagement. CEO Steve Easterbrook has said that his overall goal is to create a “progressive, modern burger company.”
