Pentagram has created a new logo and look for Consumer Reports. Founded in 1936, Consumer Reports tests and rates thousands of products and services in dozens of labs, auto test center, and consumer research center, and advocates for pro-consumer laws and regulations.
The design emphasizes green, describe as “a universal sign of ‘go’ and of growth.” In addition, the redesign evolves the visual ratings to make them more intuitive and to use a wider range of colors and symbols. Finally, as Consumer Reports states: “Our buying guides have also been overhauled with added interactive videos and images to help you throughout the buying process, and we have launched a brand-new video hub with advanced search and 360-degree videos where you’ll be able to take virtual tours of both individual products and large-scale home projects.”
