Equator Names New VP of Client Services

Equator, an award-winning packaging design company, has appointed Adam Sears as its VP of Client Service (UK/IE/AUS). Sears brings strong relationships across key clients, driving growth initiatives and service innovation. He joins Equator’s senior management team from Poundland, where he played a role in transforming their grocery offering. He brings 15 years experience across Private Brand and National Brand to Equator, having spent almost a decade as a Buying Director for ALDI in the UK and US.

In his new role, Sears will be responsible for the client service team, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of brand packaging and design from concept to shelf. Equator works predominantly for retailers with clients including Kraft Heinz and C&D Foods. On his appointment, Sears commented: “I’m really excited to be a part of the Equator team. There’s a fantastic appetite for growth within the business, which is unique in terms of the end-to-end solution they offer clients. Sears describes his ambitions for the role as ‘fostering collaboration across the business” and ‘delivering impeccable client service’ and is looking forward to working with the multi-disciplinary teams within Equator.

Global Managing Director Matt Caldwell comments: “Adam’s international retail experience across our two key markets of the UK and US will be invaluable as we come out of this challenging time ready to strengthen our offering. He has a unique understanding of the client and their needs because he’s sat on the other side of the desk; he’s had those conversations and set those briefs – so he really brings the voice of the retailer to the table. I’m confident he has the knowledge and expertise to spearhead the continued transformation of the client service side of our business.”
