Chattanooga Brewing Company opened in 1890 and operated until 1915 when Prohibition forced it to shut down. In 2010, a pair of engineers with a passion for brewing saw an opportunity to resurrect the venerable company.
When they tapped creative agency Widgets & Stone to renew the brand and develop new packaging, the design team found a treasure trove of historical artifacts from pre-Prohibition era.
To honor the heritage, and also to stand out from the saturated colors that dominate the microbrew scene, Widgets & Stone went spare and simple for packaging, merchandise, and restaurant graphics.
