Like many graphic designers, San Francisco-based Sheila Wong sees holiday gift wrapping as a fun challenge rather than a burdensome task. For this season, Wong has created a grocery store theme, with each gift wrapped to look like an item on the grocery list.
Meat, donuts, butter, cheese, fresh fish, a sushi and California role combination. To enhance the project, she also designed a logo that evokes a gourmet food market logo that substitutes for holiday cards and labels. “I’ve tried to wrap our holiday gifts in unusual ways, just to mix things up a bit,” Wong is quoted as saying. “It’s fun because the reactions I usually get are, ‘What the f#$% is that?!’ or ‘I need to know what’s in this!’’
