Dennae Makel is a fourth year designer at the School of Design at Rochester Institute of Technology. She has a passion for anything in the world of design and says she is an absolute type-geek. Dennae is a pixel farmer from a small town that discovered a love for merging print and digital. Dennae has worked as art director at Ellipse Magazine and Reporter and has interned at Carrot Creative and Butler/Till.

I was born and raised in Washington, PA but because college takes up so much of my time, I currently live in Rochester, NY.

I love researching and experimenting with new designs, techniques, and technologies but I need to be more comfortable with approaching strangers to learn more about their work.

IF YOU WERE NOT A DESIGNER, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?
I wanted to be a psychologist for most of my life until I discovered that design was a real thing.
