Matt Scott Barnes

VERMONT COLLEGE OF FINE ART (VCFA)

Matt Scott Barnes is a graphic designer living in Louisville KY with his amazing girlfriend, Kelly Scheurich and two beastly dogs. He works most of the day in his studio/gallery (Studio Post Office) on client work for small businesses, bands, and some large corporations. Also, bimonthly putting together gallery shows featuring lowbrow up and coming artists. Matt grew up in Nashville TN playing in punk bands and collaging flyers for promotions. Throughout his life, consumption of comics and music has influenced his career direction. Today, Matt is a student at Vermont College of Fine Arts obtaining his Masters in Graphic Design. He has the goal of giving back by teaching future designers.

I was born in Nashville TN and currently I live in Louisville KY.

I hate waking up early. I usually get to the studio around 10am.

ARE YOU MUSICAL AND/OR DO YOU PLAY AN INSTRUMENT?
I used to play guitar and bass in bands, now collect equipment.
