Jacqueline Simpson

SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY

Jacqueline is an undergraduate studying graphic design in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. A natural born creative, it is no surprise that she found herself immersed in work that uses design to solve problems in the everyday world. Jacqueline has spent the past two summers interning for Herman Miller, designing infographics and customer-facing one-pagers to bridge the gap between complex ergonomic research and digestible marketing material. During the school year, she works as art director for the student-run fashion magazine Zipped. In addition, she started her own cottage business hand-painting canvas sneakers and works as a freelance illustrator for the Daily Orange student newspaper. Her recent obsession is illustrating vector portraits for the inspirational women in her life – a series that sums up Jacqueline’s work in a nutshell – saturated in color and meticulously thought out.
