ANTOINETTE WESTPHAL COLLEGE OF MEDIA ARTS & DESIGN | DREXEL UNIVERSITY
Amanda is a senior Graphic Design student minoring in Fine Arts and Art History. What initially drew her to graphic design was its versatility. For her, graphic design is a means of communicating and connecting with a large audience in a powerful and intimate way, without speaking a word. Amanda’s main design inspirations are Barbara Kruger and Shepard Fairey, both of whom use their works as commentary to highlight important social and political issues. At Drexel, Amanda found a love for typography and publication design. Outside of design, she enjoys hiking, volunteering at local events, and exploring new Philly restaurants with friends. Post-college, Amanda’s dream is to work for a non-profit or help design for a campaign she is passionate about.
