Jimmy Singer

VIRGINIA TECH SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS

Jimmy Singer is a senior at Virginia Tech completing his degree in Graphic Design. He has a strong desire to create and is most passionate about branding and systems design. Jimmy has been fortunate enough to explore a wide range of design areas through internships, involvement on campus, leadership roles in design-related programs, and study abroad. He currently works as a designer for Virginia Tech’s University Relations studio and for the school’s football program – go Hokies! Apart from design, Jimmy’s other passions in life include traveling, black coffee, and rooting for losing pro sports teams.

Righty. Tried switch-hitting in baseball but it didn’t stick.

I guess those all-nighters in studio make me a night owl.

White Christmas. My family watches it every year.

The Office, but only the seasons with Michael.

Make-A-Wish. Saw first-hand what an incredible organization it is when I interned for my local chapter a few summers ago.

FAVORITE FREE TIME ACTIVITY?
I play a lot of sports, I’m an avid hiker, and I love to travel.

DO YOU PLAY A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT?
No. My musical career peaked playing the recorder in the 4th grade.
