Lucy Margaret Naland

S.I. NEWHOUSE SCHOOL OF PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS, SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY

Lucy is a senior graphic design student at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She got her start in graphic design at The Daily Orange, the independent student newspaper of Syracuse NY. She worked there for three years, one of which she spent managing the paper’s design, photo and illustration staffs. Her collegiate editorial experience also includes design work for two other campus magazines, Baked and The Kumquat. This past summer Lucy was a design intern at Sports Illustrated, where she worked on print, digital and motion projects. Her other work experience includes interning at The Boston Globe, where she designed and art directed for the newspaper and magazine. When she isn’t designing for a publication or working on school projects, Lucy can be found illustrating, making gifs, traveling whenever she can, and obsessing over Game of Thrones season eight fan theories.
