Simoul Alva is a recent graduate from the National Institute of Design, India. In 2015, she was awarded the Ratan Tata Scholarship for standing 1st in her program. She represented India at the 44th Worldskills for Graphic Design. Simoul competed in Moscow & Abu Dhabi and won a Gold and Medallion of Excellence. She is the South Asia Pacific recipient of the Helen Landsowne Resor Scholarship 2017 by J. Walter Thompson and the 4A’s Foundation. which is awarded to only 5 female creatives in the world. Her work has been recognized by, among others, the TDC, Luezer’s Archive, AIGA, Computer Arts, VICE and DNA, WeTransfer selected her work to be displayed globally to an audience of 10 million, and she is the recipient of the Patrick Kelly Scholarship for 2018 by the One Club for Creativity.Simoul has previously freelanced with Wieden+Kennedy and Sagmeister & Walsh, and recently interned at Pentagram, New York, under Michael Bierut. Where where you born and where do you live now? I was born in Mumbai, India. In the past year I lived in New York for six months and now I am back in Mumbai.
