FASHION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (FIT)
Hi! My name is Jenna Solomon and I am a senior in the BFA Graphic Design program. I came to FIT after deciding to transfer from another college, knowing that I had a love for layout design — before I even really understood what layout design was. I am an avid advocate of the importance of print publication and design. Digital design is great, but in this era in which everything is so focused on the newest technology, the ability to hold and experience a book or magazine in my hands is what inspires me the most. For the past year, I have been the Art Director of FIT’s student-run fashion, beauty and culture magazine, Blush. During this time, I have had the honor of winning the 2019 Associated College Press’ Pacemaker award in the general publication/feature category with the rest of my executive team, as well as having honorable mentions in my own name for my work on our Spring 2019 Cover and a selected spread. In addition, I also had the pleasure of interning at PAPER Magazine this past summer.
