Agora is a pioneer and leader in real-time engagement, providing developers with API’s to embed real-time voice, video, interactive streaming, chat, and artificial intelligence capabilities into their applications. They came to The Collected Works looking for a unified design system and visual language that could tie together their many products and offerings. The answer is the Aura, a visual connective thread that brings consistency and personality to the ecosystem. Alongside the Aura, The Collected Works also solidified a typographic system and iconography library to help hold the brand together across every touchpoint and expression.
The Aura is a layer stack: a series of uniquely shaped planes building on top of one another, echoing both Agora’s technical stack and the breadth of products. The system can float and bob, generate variations through random seeds, and shift between light mode and dark mode.
For typography, the design firm chose Jokker, believing that it brings just the right amount of personality, with a range of weights that hold up at both large and small scales, and stays cohesive as a family.
What makes this system especially appropriate is its ability to stretch across devices, deliverables, and to have long-term scalability as Agora introduces additional products and offerings.
