Awarded at the local chapter level, the AIGA Fellows program recognizes designers who have made a significant contribution to raising the standards of excellence in practice and conduct within their local or regional design community as well as in their local AIGA chapter.
Last Spring, Mohawk launched a new series of inspiration pieces to inspire and educate the design community. The third installment of the series is “The Art is in the Mail,” an ode to mail art that includes 6 separate components on 6 different Mohawk Elevated Collection papers.
In partnership with learning provider, MindEdge, this new AIGA certification will help designers grow their careers, build leadership skills, and advance the profession. AIGA Chair Manuhuia Barcham of Archetekt says it represents a commitment to lifelong learning.

In the lead-up to the 2022 midterm elections, AIGA has created resources to encourage all voting-age populations to exercise their civic rights.
AIGA has announced an initiative with Wiki Education to expand and build more comprehensive design histories. AIGA Wiki Scholars Program will provide training for AIGA members to add and expand the design knowledge base.
Under the AIGA umbrella and throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, Latinx and Hispanic Creatives will share their culture, contributions, and best practices to move design forward.
AIGA has named seven new members to its 2021 National Board of Directors. “Bringing in new Board members is our chance to renew and extend our expertise and reach for the profession,” says Bennie F. Johnson, executive director of AIGA.
