Hilo Life Declares ‘No More Snackrifice’

Hilo Life, a keto-friendly lifestyle brand, bringing the flavors and textures that keto consumers love back into their lives, has announced their latest brand extension – Hilo Life Almond Flour Tortilla Style Chips. All the branding, design and illustration across the new line’s packaging and digital was created by PepsiCo’s in-house design team.


The new chips have a bold graphic design that includes fun illustrations that hint at the brand’s crunch and flavor, while cuing quirkiness and fun. Excitement and movement is expressed through the mouthwatering photography, helping the brand stand out within the keto-friendly snacking category. Color is used to communicate seasoning and flavor – Nacho Cheese, Ranch and Spicy Salsa –  while claims are neatly organized in the upper left-hand corner, making it easy for consumers to find the benefits they are looking for. Meant to be approachable, punchy and friendly, the speech bubble expresses individuality and the empowerment of consumers. Whether it’s playing with graphic shapes or lines and brightly colored surfaces, the team wanted to make consumers smile.
