The extremely popular This American Life public radio show and podcast has a new logo and look featuring an American flag speech-bubble icon and wordmark set in the Mercury typeface.
The website, too, has been redesigned to be more easily navigable, essentially to reflect that “the main reason anyone comes here is to listen to the show, and to find episodes to stream.” Also featured on the site: a slew of newly commissioned illustrations including one shown below by Wren McDonald.
A post from the show’s star and leader, Ira Glass, assesses credit: “Erik Jarlsson designed our new logo. Studio Rodrigo did the beautiful designs for the site. We worked with the fine folks at Black Pixel to build our app. Rich Orris handled all of the web development. On our staff, Whitney Dangerfield, Julie Whitaker, and Seth Lind have been seeing all of this through.”
