Garfield Group Gives ADCP Site Clubby Look

The Art Directors Club of Philadelphia (ADCP) found itself in need of a website that celebrated the way it takes pride in being unapologetically itself. Garfield Group, an integrated marketing agency based in Newtown PA, took on the task — pro bono — realizing that ADCP’s mission to inspire and connect creatives in the Philadelphia area raised a substantial creative challenge.

The agency joined forces with the ADCP to design a new site designed to “open minds and open doors” by acting as a membership cultivation tool while serving up information about ADCP events and Philly happenings. Best of all:  it features member work throughout, and both organizations stuck to their creative roots by generating much of the content at a hackathon full of team members.

Founder Les Garfield says: “We created a concept that allowed the ADCP to look and feel like a true “club” — giving them a place to call their own while creating a user experience that connects with creatives. Additionally we made ADCP and the center of attention by using ‘Art Directors Club of  Philadelphia” as the main navigation and by featuring visuals created by their members. The site was instantly (internally and externally) a hit, promoting event participation and membership while living up ADCP’s mission to ‘get artsy, get weird, and get better.’” Bryon Lomas is the agency Creative Director and Adam Blak is Director of Technology.
