Watermark Design was tasked with redesigning Chesapeake Bay-adjacent Ingleside Vineyards and its Chesapeake Series. From the Red Drum to the Blue Crab, each label features a different facet of the Chesapeake’s flora or fauna, custom-painted with life-like detail to capture a sense of the unique ecosystem.
The package design continues upward, highlighting Ingleside coordinates on the custom capsule, and is topped with a nautical emboss. Faced forward on-shelf, the customer is presented with a clean, minimal design which, says Creative Director Darcey Lacey who founded the Charlottesville VA-based firm, hints at the experience of picking up the bottle and turning it.
