Julie Beall lives and breathes design. As Creative Director at Propac, a brand activation agency in Dallas, she oversees a design and marketing team that works with some of the world’s biggest brands, including Pepsi and Frito-Lay. Julie has more than a decade of experience helping brands amplify their voices and reach customers through unique creative solutions. Before joining Propac in 2009, she was Art Director at The Dealey Group, a Dallas boutique that specializes in retail, real estate and tourism industries. Throughout her career, she has run her own shop to help local, independent clients; she’s saving the world, one good design at a time. Julie’s work for Propac has helped the agency win several accolades, including the Dallas ADDYs, Path to Purchase Institute’s Who’s Who in Shopper Marketing, the Dallas Awards, as well as the GDUSA Package Design Awards and GDUSA Graphic Design Awards.
THE FUTURE OF THE GRAPHIC DESIGN BUSINESS?
I’m pumped for the inclusivity and authenticity that has emerged within the field. There’s more awareness of the different, nuanced experiences people have, and those experiences are being shared more directly because of democratizing platforms like podcasts, Instagram and Patreon. For the good of our creative community and our own well-being, we have an obligation to thoughtfully curate our media intake. I love to cook and bake…it’s a creative pursuit, but one that helps calm my bizzy mind.

In an alternate universe, I live in some paradisiacal country with my sister and our partners, and together we run a bed and breakfast/animal sanctuary/witch safehouse.
