PENNY STAMPS SCHOOL OF ART AND DESIGN UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
Fee (pronounced “Fay) Christoph is a senior pursuing a BFA in Interarts Performance and a BSE in Computer Science. As an interdisciplinary artist, her work brings together performance art, live video, digital humanities, glitch studies, performative education about emotion, and new applications of technology. Fee works towards an understanding of truth and knowledge as non-binary, inherently nuanced concepts. This provides the ground on which she can ask for a redefinition of normalcy that accounts for tenderness and human connection, ideals which present themselves as the base parameters for future technologies. She has performed work in the Duderstadt Center Video Studio, the Arthur Miller Theatre, Andy in Detroit, and the Dance Center Columbia College Chicago, and has worked as an instructional aide for EECS 281, a camera operator, a backend software engineering intern at Facebook, a studio assistant to Cynthia Pachikara, and a project manager for a gallery installation.
