Matthew Barnett

DREXEL UNIVERSITY

Matthew Barnett is a Dean’s List senior, graduating in April 2020 with a BS degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Fine Arts. Matthew moved to Philadelphia to experience college life in a new city. From endlessly playing with Legos while growing up, to finding a love of photography in his teens, Matthew built these interests into a passion for design. During his co-op experience in New York, working for Beyer Blinder Belle, Matthew was able to experience all that New York has to offer, from its architecture to its theatre. The co-op allowed him to work with prestigious clients such as the New York Public Library, for whom he developed a system of environmental graphics and other wayfinding strategies. Matthew enjoys deep-diving into design programs to learn every feature of the software and is a nut for workflow optimization. He has a love of travel and exploring new cities. During his time abroad, Matthew studied in Rome and London and travelled throughout Europe, taking photos of his adventures along the way.
