Some people spend their leisure time exercising, watching tv, traveling, cooking, making music, dining with friends. I visit stock photo websites. My latest stop is PhotoSpin, a pioneer stock site that began in 1996 with the sale of images on CD ROMs, and has been offering flexible and affordable subscriptions to go with individual image purchases since 1999. The library is refreshed with up to tends of thousands of new images and many new artists per month. Customer retention and loyalty is extremely high.
And what did I find during my visit? Well … first and foremost PhotoSpin sports a new site, introduced late last year. The new design is desktop and mobile optimized with an enhanced user interface. The improved speed with new Azure search index makes it easy to search for images allowing and there are faster downloads with cloud delivery.
And, if you are like me and can’t think of the correct spelling of a keyword, there is a new built in spelling and thesaurus correction. For the customers requesting to make monthly payments, they can now do so with the new monthly payment options. Finally, the site now lets you meet some of the talented artists behind the images straight from the home page and contact them directly if you need a specific image for a special project.
It’s worth the visit.
