Making Crypto Human

Fresh January 25, 2022February 1, 2022 Ilana Greenberg

Blond, a London UK-based creative agency, has created a brand identity and strategy for cryptocurrency funding platform Vent. As a platform, Vent allows users to investigate and invest in new crypto ventures, while VentUp, its launchpad, helps users locate early-stage investment prospects. Blond saw a clear potential in its research after being asked by Vent to develop its new brand to simplify and humanize the crypto investment product.

The design employs a simple color palette largely consisting of black, white, and yellow – “it’s bold and modern but also bestows trust” – while animated stickers and brilliant signal colors make it more personal and for a touch of vibrancy.

Blond’s design methodology was influenced by the importance of getting the logo and product line juxtaposition just right. The studio sought to make sure that the two function well together when placed near together, but were also flexible enough to distinguish themselves without the need of color or additional space.

A custom inhouse typeface was utilized for the logo. “The letter ‘V’ of the client’s name in the logo depicts an inclusive community with open arms, while representing the “launchpad” aspect of Vent – fostering fresh ideas and helping businesses develop,” the studio explains.
