In a period of expansion, creative and media agency Cutwater, with offices in San Francisco and New York City, has bolstered its client services department by tapping Matt Allen as Group Account Director. Allen boasts an extensive background across the healthcare, EV charging, QSR, fintech, genetics, travel, education, and home improvement verticals. Previously, he was the Group Business Director at Eleven where he spearheaded revenue growth as well as orchestrated the strategy, development, and launch of cross-channel campaigns for numerous brands. He was also at the likes of DesignKitchen, gyro (now acquired by Merkle), and Arnold Worldwide.
“When I connected with Cutwater, I found the leadership team to be incredibly smart and driven. Not to mention creative and media are both in-house, that’s always a plus. We shared the same vision for distinctive campaigns”, says Allen. “The agency has also experienced a new chapter of growth throughout the San Francisco and NYC offices, like the first-ever head of talent and in-house video editor as well as the freshly promoted director of creative strategy/head of social.”
During his career, he has collaborated with top names, such as McDonald’s, HP, Pella, and more. Most notably, he helped bring to life the Hello humankindness brand campaign for CommonSpirit Health’s care sites across the nation. The addition follows Cutwater’s latest business wins: these include the creative and media agency of record title for the Hartz petcare brand, and the digital creative agency of record title for Harvest Snaps plant-based snacks.
According to Principal and President Christian Hughes, “Matt’s energy and versatility are exactly what we thrive upon. With our capabilities and client portfolio strengthening over the course of this past year, we’ve entered a new era for the agency.”
